November 16, 1933 - July 17, 2010 Rita Aguilera Ibarra, 77, of Overland Park, Kan., passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010, in St. Paul, Minn., while visiting her daughter. Rita was born on Nov. 16, 1933, in Kansas City, Kan. Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Ibarra, who passed away in 1978; her parents, Bernabe and Jesus (Rincon) Aguilera; her brothers, Bernabe Aguilera Sr. and Juan Jose Rincon; and her sisters, Asuncion (Chona) Frausto, Soledad Richter, Josephine Ruiz, and Mary Fernandez. Survivors include daughter, Deborah M. Ibarra-Luna and her husband Donny of St. Paul; two sons, Raymond Ibarra, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Shawnee, Kan., and George Ibarra and his wife Renee of Shawnee; and sister, Antonia Molina and her husband Ezekiel of Overland Park. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her 10 grandchildren, Armando, Vicente, Carlos, Mario, Joshua, Jeremy, Julianne, Marissa, Sondra and Brianna, along with many other family members and friends in Kansas City as well as in St. Paul. She was a faithful employee for the Shawnee Mission School District for 20 years. She enjoyed family gatherings, cooking for her family, going out to eat, movies, and watching her novellas with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends and everyone who knew her.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 23, at Queen Of The Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 West 71st St. Overland Park. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Kansas City, Kan.
