Teaching has always been my passion because I love teaching and I enjoy the process of preparation, delivery, and reflection. My personal belief about teaching includes that teaching, learning, and education make the world a better place to live through critical thinking, character, and interactions. The definition of good teaching as described by Wankat and Oreovicz includes a great amount of students learning, covering a content at the right depth, learning the right context stands out to me (Wankat & Oreovicz l998). Also, I believe that teaching should provide opportunities for students to learn how to learn because teaching should be considered as a process not only for one class period. Authentic interactions between instructors and students should provide a way to personalize the teaching and exercise the content which would allow to practice of some of the interpersonal skills.
"The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character – that is the goal of true education."

Teaching experiences as an Instructor of Record
"In the three years, I have been studying at the University of Florida, I have not had a teacher that is so transparent and approachable as professor Huzeyfe. I thoroughly enjoyed our class meetings every Monday morning and I am happy to have chosen this course as my elective. Professor Huzeyfe constantly tried to engage the class in meaningful discussions and was genuinely interested in what we had to say. Definitely the right professor for a class such as this. Huzeyfe was committed to making the class interesting, does not care that much about grades, but rather is interested in our learning. Excellent learning environment!" An anonymous student that provided feedback on teachers` evaluation in 2015.

Feedback that I received from my Professor about my Teaching
-You presented your organization of the goals of your classroom discussion on the developmental counseling course and your emphasis on guiding assumptions of constructivist educators.
-Your use of the TED talk about the needs for different approaches to learning to fit different learner needs was a vivid way to depict the need for a variety of different instructional structures... I particularly liked your PREZI for systematically depicting the guiding assumptions and typical program activities.
-I was very impressed with the engaging way in which you brought the developmental chapter content to life…Your style of sharing your own thinking with your audience about the challenges of organizing content and teaching such a course was very effective in getting your audience to grapple with these organizational and instructional issues.
