This is the HSRC/SOuRCe Fellows' Wiki.
The purpose of this wiki is to encourage a space where we can share some common information, a sort of Fellows' Handbook of useful information that you will eventually come across at some stage regarding postgraduate degree registration, etc.
So what exactly are the HSRC and SOuRCe?
The Health Services Research Centre (HSRC) is based at the Royal College of Anaesthetists and its main focus is to define, evaluate and improve quality in anaesthesia, perioperative care and pain management. Ramani Moonesinghe is the director and Iain Moppett the deputy director. The Surgical Outcomes Research Centre (SOuRCe) based at UCL/UCLH is a partnered organisation of which Ramani is also the Director. It too aims to improve the quality of perioperative healthcare through a comprehensive programme of health services research and innovation in improvement science. SOuRCE hosts weekly research group meetings at Charles Bell House, UCL (09.00am Tuesdays). These are well attended by not only HSRC fellows but also UCL’s perioperative medicine MSc fellows.
