Choose any combination of the options below to earn a maximum of 60 points. The first 30 points will be submitted as homework and the second 30 points will be submitted as extra credit. Only the first 60 point attempts that you submit will be graded. You can change the order of the options in your e-mail.

Poison Study (20 points each)

1. Cyanide has a high affinity for methemoglobin, but is methemoglobin good for the body? Tell me what you can find out about methemoglobin in 100 words or more.

2. I didn't want to scare you off with stories of poisoning, but there are plenty throughout history! Choose one of the poisons mentioned in the lesson and find an account of a poisoning. Tell me what happened in 100 words or more.

Or perhaps you get inspired by reading poisoning accounts and feel like writing one yourself! You are also free to do that too. Once again, your story should be at least 100 words.
