University of Texas, San Antonio, San Antonio, TX
September 14-15, 2024 (Saturday - Sunday)
I had the privilege of attending the American Mathematical Society (AMS) Central Meeting at UT San Antonio. I presented my research on “The Role of Network Structure and Human Mobility in the Metapopulation Model on Disease Dynamics” at the AMS Special Session on Mathematics of Infectious Diseases. Thanks, Dr. Michael Robert, and Dr. Zhuolin Qu, for giving me this opportunity.
September 20, 2024, I received a certificate for my participation in the Infodengue-Mosqlimate Sprint 2024: Dengue Fever Predictive Modeling in Brazil, which took place from June 20 to August 30, 2024. I sincerely thank my advisor, Dr. Lucas M. Stolerman, for having full faith in me and strongly believing in my research abilities, and for providing this incredible opportunity.
September 15-20, 2024, I was honored to join the BIRS workshop on “SocioEconomic Mathematical Epidemiology: Developing Mathematical Modeling Theory” at the Banff International Research Station. A big thank you to Dr. Rebecca Tyson—she's truly remarkable. Attending these events made me feel proud, as I met leading researchers in my field and exchanged knowledge with them. It was a great experience to talk with experts who are pioneers in my research areas. I’m very grateful for their time and insights.
May 22, 2024: I am pleased to inform you that my first data-driven research effort, "Exploring the Dynamics of Monkeypox Transmission with Data-Driven Methods and a Deterministic Model," has just been published. You can access it here.
April 26, 2024: I am delighted to have been awarded the prestigious 2024 Scroggs Distinguished Graduate Fellowship (DGF). Not only was I selected to receive a DGF through my department, but my academic unit also nominated me for the Graduate College’s call for nominations. It's a deeply meaningful recognition for me. Furthermore, I am honored to have received the GPSGA Service Leadership Award from the Graduate College this year. These achievements show my commitment to academic excellence and service leadership within the university community. I am deeply grateful to my advisor, Dr. Lucas M. Stolerman, whose unwavering support and mentorship have opened doors to incredible opportunities for me to pursue my endeavors. Video credit goes to my advisor Dr. Lucas M. Stolerman.
Jan 08, 2024: My first Ph.D. paper, titled "Epidemic thresholds and disease dynamics in metapopulations: the role of network structure and human mobility," has been accepted today (Jan 8, 2024) for possible publication in the SIAM Journal on Applied Dynamical Systems (arXiv ink here). I am truly grateful to my advisor for his continuous support and encouragement. I am inspired to continue my efforts in contributing to the domain of epidemiology.
January 3, 2024: I am delighted to share that I presented my research work, "Epidemic Thresholds and Disease Dynamics in Metapopulations: the Role of Network Structure and Human Mobility," at the Joint Mathematics Meetings (JMM) - 2024 (January 3-6). Additionally, I had the privilege of engaging with eminent professors and researchers, enriching my understanding of epidemiology and data-driven methodologies by attending numerous relevant talks.
2023: Research news about my advisor Dr. Lucas M. Stolerman in the official College of Arts and Sciences magazine link OSU.
Jan 08, 2024: Thank you so much, Steve Elliot, for giving me such a generous gift, a book named "BITCOIN: A GAME THEORETIC ANALYSIS" at the San Francisco. I met you at the Joint Mathematics Meetings (JMM) - in 2024. It was nice to talk with you about my research and your work at De Gruyter as a Director of Business Development and Acquisitions. Steve Elliot, may all your kindness come back to you in wonderful ways. Your generosity and warmth are truly appreciated!
