Call for Chapters

We are glad to announce that the Hyderabad Institute of Social Sciences (HISS) is planning to bring out an edited book titled Emerging Geo Politics in the Context of Wars and Immigration Challenges”

The world is witnessing unprecedented geo political challenges and two full blown wars resulting in the fast changing geo political scenario and the grouping of nations.

The pro and anti-immigration protests, Russia-Ukrain war, Israel-Palestine conflict, Middle East Crisis, and Iran, conflicts, cross border terrorism, and other major issues like global recession are resulting in reshaping of the geo political order.

In this context, the Hyderabad Institute of Social Sciences calls for contemporary, analytical, and original papers from the contributors for the publication in the proposed book with ISBN.

Sub-themes can include;

The Wars and the new Cold War: NATO expansion, Russia-Ukrain war, sanctions, oil and trade war, middle east crisis, Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, Iran and its proxies’ war against Israel, crisis in trade through sea route.

Immigration: Immigration challenges and protests for and against the immigration, crisis in European countries, skilled immigration, illegal immigration, etc.,

US Presidential election: The US elections and implications for the world in general and India in particular

Global crises: Global debt crisis, regime change policies, unrest in emerging countries, coups, challenges to democratic institutions, Human Rights, displacement, child rights, humanitarian crisis, economic recession, food crisis, threat of nuclear war and the threat of Third World War

China’s expansionist Policies: Salami slicing, aggression on Philippines, Taiwan, and India etc., Policies that ensnare developing countries into debt trap, military bases, exploitation of mineral and other resources etc.,

Role and effectiveness of United Nations: Critical analysis of the role and functioning of the UNO, need for expansion of more countries as permanent members.


Papers need not be limited to the above mentioned sub-themes. 

Papers should not be more than eight pages.

Papers should be strictly original with proper citation and references and need to be free of plagiarism and AI similarity too.

Last date for submission of full papers is 15.09.2024. The edited book will be published by the end of September 2024.
