Himmel’s Church Records
The first baptism for the Himmel’s Church was recorded June 7, 1774. Since that time, records of marriages, baptisms, funerals, and confirmations have been maintained for the church.
In February 1780, the land the church is situated on was presented by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to Andrew Reitz and Nicholas Hederick, in trust, for a Lutheran and Calvinist Church.
During the 1800's Himmel’s Church was a joint congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran & High German Reformed Christian denominations.
