About Us

This page was created as part of an independent study in secondary school computer science education. The hope was that this website would become a resource for prospective computer science teachers as well as others involved in computer science education.

About Me:
My name is Dani McAvoy. I will graduate from Bowdoin College with B.A. in Computer Science/Mathematics and Education.  Next year I will be starting as a computer science teacher at Worcester Academy in Massachusetts. I love contact sports, working out, cooking and peanut butter. I am passionate about computer science education because I believe it is the greatest gift to be able to pass on your knowledge to others and to not pass on knowledge is to steal something from the world. I got into computer science because my lovely wonderful mom made me take CS 101 and I fell in love. Without her I'm not sure I would have ever known what computer science is. I want to help others have that same experience I had.

This website is a great start but I know there is so much more out there that I missed. If you have things you believe should be added to the website please send feedback to csedwebsite@gmail.com.
