Chapel-en-le-Frith Methodist Church

Located on the main road through Chapel-en-le-Frith, the Church plays an important role in the life of the Town.  Not only is it used for specifically run Church activities, the multi-purpose building also provides an ideal location for hiring for concerts, table top sales, meals for the elderly, dance groups and similar activities for the town as a whole.

Our main Sunday service is at 10.30am  each Sunday.  On Parade Sundays - usually the first in the month is school is in session, the worship is particularly aimed at all ages.  On the first Sunday of the month, a short early morning Communion service is held at 9.30am.  Occasional Praise or Taize style worship is held at 6pm.

For special Sundays like Remembrance Sunday, Covenant Sunday, Easter and Christmas times, other arrangements may apply, so please see the plan or website for specific details.

 Slimming World - group run by Jan Hiorns. 
 Wednesdays 10am - 11am Prayer Group and Fellowship
2nd Wednesdays there is usually a short communion service)
 Wednesdays 6pm The Girls Brigade
 Thursdays (alt) 2.30pm Church Fellowship - an informal time of fellowship for all.
 Thursdays (last in month Sept to April) 7.30pm Thursday Group - Meetings usually with a speaker on a secular subject
 Fridays 10am Luncheon club for the elderly - run by social services
 Fridays (twice monthly) 7pm 'Pop In' for Teens
 Saturdays 10am - 12 noon Coffee Morning

In addition a privately run dance group uses the premises weekly, the 'Hear Hear' club for people with hearing difficulties meets monthly.  Other events open to the public but not run by the church are advertised and occur from time to time.
