Highlands Dance Competition

Melissa Kidd is a Cincinnati native and the owner of Dance Technician, a private training facility that uses Pilates, aerial yoga and other unique avenues to improve dancers' technical base.  She has trained under the Cincinnati Ballet and New York City Ballet as well as under prestigious names such as Finis Jhung and Savion Glover. Miss Kidd danced with and trained under Manhattan Dance Project its first year of inception and choreographed for and danced on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Her choreography has been featured on ESPN and Fox Sports Network as well as in Disney parks and Hallmark movies. 

With over 20 years of experience in the dance industry as an instructor Melissa holds many certifications including certifications in early childhood dance education, PIlates, dancer safety and yoga. Melissa has also served as a USASF legality official and judge for over 10 years and has judged events such as NDA/UDA High School Nationals, College Nationals, many regional allstar and school dance events across the country, and has been nominated and served on panel at the prestigious international Dance Worlds every year since 2018. 

 Becca has over 30 years of training in many different dance disciplines.  Her primary focus of study and greatest love has always been ballet.  Becca danced primarily under Christine Hennessey, co-founder of Festival Ballet of Rhode Island, and Herci Marsden, co-founder of the State Ballet of Rhode Island, but

took class frequently with many masters at Broadway Dance in NYC.  She, also, competed in both solo and team routines around the country in other dances Styles.  Becca has experience teaching a variety of dance styles and has, also, acted as a dance adjudicator for event companies and organizations in the region.  Until recently, Becca was a coach for many ages of All Star competition teams including several National and World Champion teams.
