3.2 Research

The fabric of the space suit has layers of different materials. Every layer has a function.

There are 10 different materials that you can use to make the new fabric.

Materials are:

- Aluminium foil

- Styrofoam

- Fabric

- Film covers

- Paper

- Plastic

- Stucloper

- Radiator foil

- Bubble plastic

- Cardboard

There is a display of the materials in the

classroom.

Task 5 -- Experiments with materials.

All these materials for the space suit fabric have different properties. You are going to do experiments to investigate the material properties of these materials.
