Heron Bend HOA About Us
The Heron Bend Homeowners Association received its certificate of incorporation on February 6, 1996. The first meeting of its Board of Directors was held June 15, 1999, at 10920 Peninsula Court. The Board of Directors meet quarterly, every second Tuesday of the month during the third, sixth, ninth, and twelfth months.
Annual Membership Meeting and General Elections. An Annual Membership Meeting is held in conjunction with the June Board of Directors Quarterly Meeting, during which elections for any vacancies to the Board are nominated and elected by the members. Quarterly meetings commence at 7:30 PM via Google Meet: https://meet.google.com/xwc-bqvf-tje. Please take time to join us at the next meeting.
All quarterly meetings are open to the membership, and your participation is invaluable to the success of the HOA. Your Board is committed to serve our community. Join us to ensure that we can hear your views, or contact us at any of the numbers or e-mails for our Board of Directors in the Directory.

Grounds Maintenance. Landscaping services for the HOA's common property are contracted through The Gardener, includes mowing and maintenance around our two entrance signs and park entrance area. Costs for the contractor are paid via your quarterly assessments.
Fred Essex Memorial Park The Fred Essex Memorial Park is solely for the enjoyment of Heron Bend residents and guests. If you park your vehicle at the park, please make sure the community placard is visible or your vehicle is subject to towing. If you need a community placard, please contact a member of the Board of Directors.
Covenants Committee If you have any questions regarding our HOA Covenants, please contact the Covenants Committee.
Trash Services: Trash removal is performed on each Wednesday and Saturday. Recycling containers should be set out on Thursday evening for a Friday pickup. Our service provider is Disposal Services, LLC (Charlie & Sons, our previous provider, was bought out by this company). If you have any questions pertaining to service or schedules, then contact them at disposalservicesllc@yahoo.com. Fees are paid from the HOA quarterly assessment payments by the HOA Treasurer, so you should not be paying separately for routine trash removal services.
Snow Removal: We have a snow removal contract with Patriot Lawn & Landscape, to remove snow from our three private road segments (southern end of road on Meanderview Ct cul-de-sac through the park entrance, southern end of road on Peninsula Ct cul-de-sac towards the river, and all of Winding Brook Ct from mailboxes on either end) when snow accumulation exceeds three inches. Costs for these services are shared pro rata based on the number of homes on each segment of private road, and the HOA pays a pro rata share to clear the HOA private road at the end of Meanderview Ct.
If you wish for them to clear your private drives, such service can be arranged by calling them or flagging them when they are coming through. You are responsible for paying Patriot Lawn & Landscape for snow removal services of your private drives, and if you wish to make separate arrangements with them for your private pipe stem or driveway, call them at 703-244-7798.
