Before you start putting things into the backpack you must have the notion that everything that enters (except food) will travel with you during the Interrail. Therefore it is advisable to make a list of things you really need to take the trip. Some suggestions:
- The famous large backpack;
- A small backpack for walking around the cities;
- ID and passport;
- Wallet for tickets, documents, cards and cash;
- Debit and Credit cards;
- Camera is essential!;
- Sleeping bed;
- Medicine such as painkillers;
- Bath towel and beach
- Plate, cutlery, cup / mug;
- Personal hygiene in a small bag;
- Blue soap to wash clothes (be careful because there are accommodations that prohibit the washing of clothes in the bathrooms);
- A roll of toilet paper;
- Bottle for water;
- Locks;
Some food for the first days:
- Canned;
- Energy bars or cereals;
- Sandwiches;
- Juices and water;
Clothing depends on: the place to go, the number of travel days and the space in the backpack, I advise you not to take anything of great monetary or sentimental value, it is also not necessary to take "tons" of clothing because you can wash it:
- Underwear, t-shirts, shorts, sweaters, etc.;
- Waterproof jacket;
- Sneakers / comfortable shoes, sandals;
- Rope and clothes pegs;
Other:
- Book of the youth hostels of Hostelling International (optional)
- Travel guides such as "Let's Go .." or "Lonely Planet" (optional)
- Maps of Europe and / or city (optional)
- Tent (optional)
- Book for reading, playing cards (optional)
- A small notebook and pen (optional)
- MP3 player (optional)
- Friends;
- Good humor;
- ... and some sacrifice!
