While on vacation in the Staunton area I wanted a massage and chose this place just based on the positive reviews. I'm so glad I did. Had one of the best massages of my life with Morghan. I was able to get in on short notice. Don't let the location and outside appearance discourage you. Very clean and great service.

We were in the area for the Christmas holiday and decided to get a couples massage. We found this place through Google. Upon arriving we were not impressed with the outside as it looked like regular store front in between two other businesses. We were more apprehensive after entering as we are used to upscale salons/spas with great decor, scents and all the bells and whistles. It was clean but looked like a regular shop. The ladies were very polite and inviting. I must say it was one of the best massages we have had. They were very attentive, professional, and took the time to focus on the stress points. The massages were deep tissue and included hot stone. If you want a quality massage and don't really care about the upscale salon experience, this is the place. When we revisit the area, we will definitely go back. One tip: add scented candles for a inviting scent.

Had a 90-min massage from Martin and it was worth every minute. Felt very professional and He knew exactly how to find my tight spots and release the tension. It was a great experience and if I lived local, I would only see him! Next time I'm in town, I know where to go.

Lily is one of the best masseuses I've gone to. She found and got rid of a lot of tension and I felt so much better after. Very nice and comfortable environment.

Doesn't have a high-end Spa vibe, but that said I had some really tight muscles and issues caused by that and Lily was really able to do her magic and I feel a lot better. Clean, professional and knowledgeable.

Nothing short of a Miracle I have had a bad shoulder for years, it was to the point where I could not lift my left arm over my head. Melody found a spot under my shoulder blade where the pain was apparently stemming from and worked it out. Since that day I have not had a single issue with my shoulder and not an ounce of pain.

It is true what they say about individuals amongst us who have been blessed with special gifts, that they in return share unconditionally with others. Melody is just one of these select angels. Her compassion, dedication, positive energy, and professionalism are second to none. I have been blessed to have been able to receive several massages from Melody, and highly recommend her services! "There may be many good massage therapists, but Melody is definitely in the "Exceptional" category.

I have had a very large number of massages in my life, but the massage by Melody is by far the best I have ever had. I remember my first visit with Melody and I said to myself "Wow". She has a natural talent at giving a massage. If you want the best, then go see Melody at Healing Touch Bodywork.

All of these reviews are very accurate and then some. Melody is absolutely the most amazing woman I have ever met. She is very professional and takes your massage and her work very serious. Then the massage starts..... WOW!!!!!... I usually get about 2 massages per month. I have never had a massage as good as Melody's... It is so hard to explain in words. If you get massages often, try one here. You will never go anywhere else. If you get your first massage here, try somewhere else for the second time...... You will always come back to Melody. I used to get 60 minutes massages. My first massage with Melody was 1.5 hours. I am now on my 6th massage in 2 1/2 months. I won't go less than 1.5 hours and I just might start going for 2.. It's honestly that good!!!!

The therapist has a holistic approach to body work that uses a combination of techniques from shiatsu, acupressure, qi gong tuina, and hot stone massage to create a therapeutic experience customized to your needs. She focuses on finding the source of your muscular tension (not just the side-effects), and also takes the time to tell you about ways you can employ preventative techniques on your own.
After a 90 minute massage focusing on chronic neck/shoulder pain and headaches, I feel better than I have in 6 months.
While other spas are always looking for the up-sell and charging you extra for use of hot stones or aroma-therapy, everything is included in the very reasonable price of the regular massage here. Also, it has the added bonus of being one of the few massage therapy places in the area that is open on Sundays.

Natasha was one of the best massage therapists I have ever had, if not the best. And I have had a good many massages all over the world. A customer in a nearby room however was very chatty and her massage therapist made no attempt to subdue their conversation; in fact both of them talked very loudly the entire time. That was a bit sad as I would have preferred to focus on the wonderful massage I was having rather than their trivial nonsense.
Because Natasha was amazing, I will go back but try to get a time when there are not chatty Kathy's being a buzz kill.

I've been here once and had Natalia who was amazing. If you like to really get those knots out she will. I had an intense but also relaxing deep tissue massage lasting an hour and the price is quite reasonable. The best place in Staunton to get a massage. I've heard the other masseuses are brilliant as well.

Hidden Gem!! Not the super fancy spa experience but the room was clean and inviting.
Very deep tissue massage, working out all of the trouble spots. Super knowledgeable staff and great technique! From the coconut oil, to the warm sacks over the palms of your feet, this was a great experience! She continued to ask occasionally throughout the hour about pressure and was able to take give me a strong massage without walking on my back. Definitely will return! :)

I first went to Melody several months ago when I had a terrible headache. I was driving down Greenville Ave. and saw her sign and decided to stop in, hoping someone could do something about the pain. She only had about 20 minutes before a customer but she agreed to take me for as long as she had and in that short time, the debilitating migraine was gone and it stayed gone.
Since that time, I have scheduled an hour with Melody once a month. I had probably spent close to $500 in the previous year to a chiropractor for severe neck and shoulder blade pain that caused numbness in my hand. Once I started going to Melody, the pain went away and stayed away and I no longer need the chiropractor.
Certainly what she gives is a good massage, but she also is intuitive about the body and unlike the massage places where the massages are almost like scripts where all areas are covered equally in time and sides of the body, Melody hones in on the problem areas and gives deep, deep massage that gives lasting relief. Does it hurt sometimes? Yes it does - but when the muscles are like taut cords like mine were, that's the price you pay but the feeling in your body when she finishes is incredible. It's almost like therapeutic physical therapy. This 58 year old body feels 20 years younger.
One last plug - Melody is very familiar with other forms of Chinese medicine and has given me valuable information on how to treat other ailments. Over the winter I suffered with terrible bronchitis and had gone through 3 rounds of different antibiotics, including Z-Packs. Nothing touched it. The remedy she told me how to make was immediate and the bronchitis was gone in 12 hours. My family was amazed. And my daughter broke her hand and was having a terrible time with the pain and healing. Melody was able to give us a liquid that Megan rubbed on her hand and it managed her pain and her Xray 2 weeks later showed more healing in that time than in the 4 weeks prior.
I really can't say enough. I've received massages at nationally renowned spas like the Greenbriar and Coolfont in Berkeley Springs and Chica on the beaches of the Florida Keys that cost twice as much and aren't nearly as good or as lasting in their effects. Also, I have had some massages from some of Melody's other workers and they are just as good. Highly recommended. I think anyone that goes to Healing Bodyworks will never be satisfied anywhere else again.

I love Melody at Healing Touch. She knows her craft very well and does an outstanding job every time! My headaches have decreased significantly since I've been going to her. What impressed me the most was how she felt my neck during one visit and told me that I needed to go to a chiropractor. I hadn't complained whatsoever about neck or back pain during my visit, but I took her advice. Sure enough, my chiropractor told me that she was 100% correct.
She's reasonably priced and isn't about "hype," but just making her customers feel better!
