I have participated in various co-curricular activities throughout my years in high school. This eagerness to participate and contribute also continued in my University life. During my studies I have volunteered myself as committee member of various clubs and societies. Clubs I have participated in include Caring Club (conducts various community outreach programmes), Creative Multimedia Club (multimedia-oriented club which I became president of), IIUM.FM (Official Campus Radio station which I was a DJ for) and various other student-led societies and programmes.
This picture is one of the many events I participated in (as facilitator and photographer). We conducted various modules at this particular orphanage in Kedah. It was fun and exciting! I love seeing kids smile and being the brother they wished they had
Handled the promotional campaign for the Run For Orphans 2016 (Annual Charity run) event. Coordinated and led my team in ensuring effective and thorough advertisement campaign. More than a thousand people took part in the run and it was a success. Definitely enjoyed this and could not have had such high number of attendance without the hardwork, dedication and commitment showed by my team!
Part of the Promotion and Publication team. Produced and published multiple promotional videos prior to the event and throughout the event. Videos received a lot of views and managed to attract people to the event. Also in charge of the photography and aerial photography documentation throughout the duration of the programme.
For 2 semesters I participated as Radio Disc Jockey and conducted my own talkshows and programmes on live radio. 2 programmes I hosted was "History with DJ Daniski" - where I discussed on historical events with guests, and "Contemporary Issues with DJ Daniski" where I discussed on ongoing political issues and conflicts with prominent guests. Not only that, I also was part of the Webteam and aided in keeping the official website up-to-date.
I became the MC for various formal events under several student-led societies. The events usually involved VIP guests and other prominent and important invited figures that required formality and proper English and articulation. I successfully conducted all these events as MC and Alhamdulillah all of these events went well.
I debated in three IIUM Niche English Debate Tournaments (British Parliamentary format) and also assigned as judge on one tournament. We debated on various interesting motions on sensitive and contemporary issues. I also presided as judge for several rounds and this tested my creative thinking and judgment skills which I had to utilize to ensure correct decision.
I was given the opportunity to become President of Creative Multimedia Club during my years at the Centre for Foundation Studies, IIUM. CMC is a student-led, multimedia-oriented club that conducts various activities, and workshops related to Multimedia. I led my team for 2 semesters and we had conducted software training workshops (e.g., Photoshop, Google SketchUp), IT bazaar, gaming competitions and tournaments, as well as religious talks and community dinners. It was a great experience leading a team of more than 100 people and I had great help and support from my committee members.
