Other skills
Research & Information-gathering Skills
- Throughout my undergraduate studies at the International Islamic University Malaysia, I was tasked with completing various research assignments and projects that improved my academic research skills. Over 20 research assignments have been completed which made me acquire all the skills in efficient and reliable information-gathering techniques. Not only that these assignment projects were all for various courses that dealt with fields of social sciences and contemporary issues.
Public Speaking & Presentation Skills
- Having been actively involved in students' societies and clubs during my studies, I have accumulated experience in managing events and projects. Additionally, I have experience working in a team and all the difficulties, challenges, and hurdles that comes with managing a large programme or event. Thus, this has helped me a lot in terms of time management, leadership, attention to detail, as well as communication skills. Not only this, I have been a radio jockey for IIUM.FM Campus radio with my very own programme slot for 1 year. This coupled with my experiences in debating (IIUM Niche debating) and Judging debates (UKM) has given me the skills to talk in front of a large audience. I love communicating and expressing my views and engaging large audiences be it a formal MC-ing job, or a forum discussion.
Contemporary Issues & Geopolitical Knowledge
- Being a Political Science graduate, it is expected that one such as myself have extensive and deep knowledge of International Relations, Political Philosophy, History, International Law and Public Administration. As a Political Scientist I strive to be well-read in these different branches of Political Science. Although Learning is a never-ending process and there are many new things I still need to learn, it is safe to say that I take great pride in possessing above average knowledge in Geopolitics and International Relations which I consider is my forte.
