On Thursday February  12, at 6:00 p.m., Leomi L. Bergknut and Susan Miyasaka will give a presentation on "Traveling in Baltic countries and Cruising Norwegian Fjords!"

Leomi visited her husband's family in Sweden, followed by a cruise through Norwegian fjords. Susan took back-to-back cruises from England to Baltic countries (Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Estonia) and to Norwegian fjords. Together, they will share their pictures and experiences. 

The meeting will be a hybrid one (in person and online via zoom). The in-person meeting will be at the Komohana Research & Extension Center (875 Komohana St., Hilo), in the large conference room A-204: second floor, near the elevator. The February 2026 photo CHALLENGE theme is "Images with Good  Composition!"  

 Rules and Regs for this CHALLENGE: 

1.  You can submit up to 5 images taken in the past year with a theme of "Images with Good Composition!" 

2. They cannot have won previous contests or been exhibited;

3. Images should be jpg files with a maximum of 1600 pixels in the longest dimension;

4. Titles will be file names; and

5. You can bring your images to the meeting on a thumb drive or you can email it to Susan at hawaiiphotoshooters@gmail.com.  

What is a Challenge?

The purpose of a Photo Challenge is to share what we do, explain how we do it, and get to view others' works, ideas, and creativity without having to decide "which is best" or "which is most favored."  Each member will have one image of his/her choice uploaded to the club's website.
