This site would not exist as it does now without the many wonderful contributions I have received from fellow fans of the Luminous Spooks. Many thanks in particular to:
Stewart Reid (The Phantom Highwayman) without whose enthusiastic support I would not have started this project and without whom I would still be in the dark about the Spooks. His marvellous recollections and pictures are to be seen all over this website. Valued contributions include the very first images of the Spooks and an imaginative re-creation of the Haunted Manor, which is a wonder to behold (my own model being highly appreciated).
Steve Luker (Spooky Steve) for sharing his wonderful memories (including an incredible recall of much of the 'spooky story' contest!), for his continued enthusiasm over the years, for the incredible replicas he has made (and generously shared), and for pictures and details of his Haunted Manor based on the cereal packet artwork, with subtle improvements on the original!
Kim Stevens for making vital contributions in the early days of this website (and its predecessor blog), specifically for hunting down information about the TV advert and some spooky music by Barry Gray, for writing to Plastic Warrior magazine, which resulted in a photocopy of the Haunted Manor from the back of the packet being sent to me, and for generally promoting the website and the search for information about the Spooks.
Peter Watson for responding to Kim's letter and sending me that high quality photocopy - the scan I made of it has been gracing the home page ever since.
Steve Moore for the first photograph of the Spooks, for his terrific his hand-drawn diagrams and for sharing his detailed recollections.
Tom Vinelott who suggested a web presence for the Spooks in the first place.
The composite images of the Spooks in the Haunted Manor, that you can see on the Home page of this site, were created using a free version of Serif PhotoPlus.
For the Spook shape templates, I used Inkscape software.
Finally, the site is being hosted free of charge by Google Sites, which also provides the tools to make the site possible.
