This great saint was given Ashrama by Sri Sathya Poorna Teertharu as the health of the latter suddenly
declined and Sri Sathya Vijaya Teertharu was on his Dig vijaya where he happened to come near Arani. The
chieftain of Arani Venkatanatha was attacked by a Yavana king. The king sought as glum at the feet of the
saint who blessed him to be victorious. Suddenly, the soldiers of the Yavana army were inflicted by an
epidemic of Cholera and began to die in large numbers.
The chieftain of Arani was saved and he made great offerings and grants to the matha and the Swamiji and
requested the Swamiji to stay there itself. The Swamiji accpeted the offer and made the place His permanent
abode. This is now known as "SATHY VIJAYA NAGARAM" the only place which named after a Madhwa
saint. The aradhana is celebrated with great religious fervor by the devotees of the Swamiji.
