This is in two Verses. The first two lines are in Sardula vikridita metre and the latter two are in sragdhara. Two different meters are purposely employed to indicate that God Narasimha who is praised here consists of two aspects viz. Nara and Simha. This is a glorification of nails of Narasimha for its two acheivements viz. tearing the belly of Hiranyakashipu and lightening and removing the darkness of the suffering of deities and devotees. The nails are described as strong as vajra and very brilliant. These two verses are recited as the first and last two verses of Vayustuti.
