I am an associate professor of School of Economics and Trade at KNU in South Korea (Since 2019).
I was a research associate at KIPF between 2014 and 2019.
I was awarded a Ph.D. at Department of Economics, University of Pittsburgh in 2014.
I was also Research Lab Fellow at Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics, Harvard University in 2013
My research interests are multi-faceted. My research spans several fields including Law and Economics, Corporate Finance, Political Economy and Theory of the Firm.
I employ a combination of a theory and empirical approach to study how the judiciary system interacts with incentives of economic agents and institutions and how the system, in turn, affects economic outcomes.
I graduated from Department of Economics at Seoul National University in South Korea in 1996.
I was awarded NRF fund in 2020, Research Lab Fellowship at Edmond J. Safra Center (Harvard University) in 2012, Excellence in Ethics Scholarships(University of Notre Dame) and Social Science Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship (University of Pittsburgh) in 2013.
I was also awarded Chevening Fellowship (Foreign and Commonwealth Office of U.K.) in 2006 for my NGO activities in Korea.
I was also an activist of PSPD , SER, and ERRI between 2001 and 2007.
