Usually is the last weekend of April every year, Spring Reign is a full weekend tournament consisting of 6-7 games over two days. Teams come from all over the Pacific Northwest, and also from California or Canada.
Although there is a trophy for winning each pool, the main purpose of the tournament is to celebrate Ultimate. Teams often dress up or wear special themed uniforms or jerseys for this occasion. Play well but also play consistent with the spirit of the game.
Spring Reign is revered as "the most fun I've ever had playing Ultimate" by many players. The coaching staff highly recommends attending it if you are able.
Many families will stay Saturday night in a hotel in Burlington, Washington: It's also not a terrible drive back Saturday night, but if you are considering staying and haven't already booked a hotel room consider booking one early. The popularity of the tournament and large distances traveled by other teams means they fill quickly.
Consider carpooling, sharing a room, or coordinating with other families on a hotel.
Spring Reign has a limited number of teams that qualify, and it's not guaranteed that every Hamilton player will be able to attend.
