Commitments include Tryouts, team assignment meeting, 2 practices + Sat game, communication with team/families
Background check, fingerprinting, CPR/First Aid/AED and 4hr total coach online training required
Fall league coach : Sep - Nov (2 weekly practices and weekend games)
Winter coach: Jan-Feb (weekend outdoor games only) OR Goaltie coach (weekly indoors)
Spring coach : Feb - May (2 weekly practices and weekend games, optional Spring Reign at the end of April)
Anyone with or without experience. Those without experience will be paired with other coaches.
1 Jersey Rep per team - Must be available the first week and last week of games to record which players receive jerseys and which players have returned the fall jerseys. Fall jerseys are the property of Hamilton International and must be returned every November. Spring jerseys are personal property and donated jerseys are welcome for future players.
Team Parent - Tailor the role as you see fit. Some team parents coordinate lost and found, game snacks, coach gifts, and post-season party.
lend a table for check-in by the Hawk's nest (north doors by outdoor basketball courts)
print tryout sheets each day of tryouts (prepared the night before each grade's tryout)
check-in volunteers (hand out bibs to match the tryout sheets that coaches use)
tryout day photographer (take pictures of each player with the bib number clearly visible)
collection volunteers (collect bibs and pins for next time)

1-2 hour/month the most. Work with Hawks Communication Rep & Head Coach to set up "Welcome" page prior to each Fall/Spring season. Occasionally asked to create/update additional pages such as "Hawks spirit gear", "Coach bios", ...etc.
Collect/Track payments, reimburse/track expenses, manage budget, report to head coach/steering committee on finances
Fall duties: Coordinates with Hamilton's Athletic Director to get fall jerseys to each team's jersey rep. Collects/cleans/returns fall jerseys to the Athletic Director at Hamilton. Spring Duties: Help the Spring Jersey purchaser plan the order at least 2 months before the spring season starts. Coordinate with coaches to get spring jerseys to players that request them. 8 hours max for the school year (2 hours in September, 2 hours in November, 2 hours in January, 2 hours in March)
10 hours per year, prepare bags in August/December/February and collect/refresh bags in June and December or as needed through the year
4 hours per year, purchases made in December for the winter and spring seasons
Keep the AD informed of Hawks Club status through open communication.
Ensure every coaches meet Coach requirements (training courses, ...etc.) prior to the beginning of each season.
Ensure all players submit the required forms before fall tryouts and before spring games.
100 hours per year or pay what you can. Heavily weighted the weeks surrounding tryouts
6 hours per year: 2 hours the first weekend after tryouts each season
20 hours per year: 2 hours per week in September, December, and March
32 hours per year: 16 hours per week of tryouts
Ensure families and incoming feeder schools are aware of try-out dates. Recruit volunteers to run check-in/coaches to run try-outs. Expedite registrations and inform coaches of players' status. Run an efficient tryout, allowing all athletes a fair opportunity for team placement.
2 hours per year: for spring season reservations and 2 community day celebrations
