Auros is the sun god, father of the all the Celestial gods. He was in the Void before Luckji created the world, from time immemorial, but lay dormant. He may have been the remnant of some other realm that has ended. He put forth his own light, and created the stars in his efforts to find Luckji. However, Luckji used his Cloak of Darkness to hide himself from the light. His children were:
Danaros, sentinel of the North,
Fera - Sentinel of the South,
Genusaris and Tauri - The Twin Stars of the East; and
Esaros - Auros's Promise
Auros seared and scarred the world in the Primal age. In doing so, he had two more children who were of the earth and water:
Radil, the God of Fire in the Earth, whose mother was Eda (Goddess of the Cold Earth); and
Drana - Goddess of the Still Air (who was separated from Thanes, God of the Bitter Water)
Later, Auros rused together fragments of the old realm to create Volaris, the first moon. This was done in response to the plea of Araxis the Adventurer, who wished for a home closer to the World. Araxis became the messenger of Auros, and the leader of the Celestials who settled on the moon.
When Serosus sealed the gateway to his underworld, Lornak escaped through the realm of the Darkness Demons. He took revenge against the sky gods because he was led to believe that they had not punished the Storm Pantheon for their crimes. While Auros was sleeping he used Luckji's Cloak of Darkness to hide Auros from the world and the rest of the heavens. This began the Age of Destruction.
Auros is worshipped widely among the Clay People, Pure Celestials and Illuni. He features in many stories of the Sky Gods:
