RE: Testimony in Support of Bill 491-31
Dear Senators:
Not a single senator runs for office who doesn’t tell us about his or her commitment to education, and about how “the children are our future”, and about how we must invest in our students and our schools.
While, we can assume that senators always keep their commitments to our young people and their education in the course of their public service, it is very rare that our elected officials have an opportunity to personally show that commitment in such a real and meaningful way as what Senator Duenas’ “Bucs for Buses” bill affords.
The Bucs for Buses bill gives senators an opportunity to truly put their money where their mouths are.
Thank you Senator Duenas for putting the people first. We expect your colleagues now to do the same.
This concludes my testimony in support of Bill 491-31.
