March of Dimes is an organization dedicated to ending
premature birth and protecting all babies. Founded by Franklin Roosevelt
in 1938, this organization works closely with pregnant mothers to
ensure the best birth possible for their child as well as doing endless
research to continue to prevent premature births
MADD, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, is an organization that was started by a mother who lost her daughter to a drunk driving accident.
MADD is the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting families from drunk driving.
Since being founded in 1881, the American Red Cross has been helping people who have suffered disasters. Along with disaster relief, the Red Cross provides health and safety services, support military families, provide lifesaving blood, as well as international services.
Alex's Lemonade Stand is an organization that was created by Alexandra "Alex" Scott to help her realize her dream of finding a cure for all childhood cancers.
This organization strives to raise money and awareness for children suffering from cancer, as well as educate and inform.
For over 100 years, the American Cancer society has been striving to create a world without cancer. Established in 1913, this organization hopes to save lives by helping people stay healthy, helping people get better, and help them fight back. Together we can find a cure.
Gamma Sigma members nationally also participate in a Project Impact area. We recently participated in both impact areas, mental health advocacy and children and arts, during the 2015-2017 biennium year.
