We are thrilled to participate in Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation's Million Mile! The Million Mile is a month-long challenge that helps fund childhood cancer research. You are able to walk, run, or bike to add up miles to aid ALSF in their goal of reaching One Million Miles in the month of September! This helps spread awareness of childhood cancer and encourages fundraising. Anyone can participate- even your pets! Interested in joining us or donating? For the past 100 years the American Heart Association has been making an impact in awareness for heart disease and strokes. On September 21st we are joining them for the 2024 Pittsburgh Heart Walk! Every walker who joins, every dollar donated means more research, more people trained in lifesaving CPR, more medical breakthroughs and more champions for equitable health. Our goal is to fundraise $500 for the American Heart Association. Want to donate or join us on September 21st? This September, our chapter is also volunteering at the 2024 Pittsburgh Great Race. The Pittsburgh Great Race is the largest 10K race in Pennsylvania. Named after Richard S. Caliguiri, the Great Race donates $1 from every Great Race registration to the Richard S. Caliguiri Amyloidosis Fund, a fund held by the Pittsburgh Foundation that is dedicated to supporting medical research. We will see you there!
