Local Service Projects
Saint Vincent de Paul (SVDP): Supporting Saint Vincent de Paul with their weekly trip downtown to hand out supplies and reach out to the homeless of Pittsburgh.
Oakland Food Pantry: Assist with set up and help hand out food to the needy during their distribution hours.
Our Clubhouse: Our Clubhouse provides support for families affected by cancer. We assist in their programs that provide emotional and social support to these families.
World Vision: Help prepare donations for families in need in the United States and around the world.
Blessing Board: Assist other volunteers as families in need pick out furniture and sort through to organize donations.
Service Sunday: Service Sundays happen every Sunday on campus and is sponsored by an organization to support their cause.
Run For Ryan: The Run for Ryan is a campus event put on by the Sgt. Lane Platoon, a campus organization that honors Sgt. Ryan Lane of Castle Shannon who was killed in action in 2009, by organizing a 5k event on Duquesne's campus.
We also participate in local runs and races including, but not limited to: Ole 5k, Avonworth 5k, March For Babies, Achilles Hope and Possibility Race, Mini THON, Out of the Darkness Suicide walk, YMCA Triathlon, Cupid's Chase, Cupid's Undies Run, Hike for Hearing, Hemophilia Walk, Mario Lemiuex's 6.6 k, Donut Dash, JDRF and the Pineapple 5k.
