Coach Rebecca Fuchs will be leading Green Mountain Rowing's group rowing this year, bringing her many years of experience to the Lamoille River. Fuchs has coached athletes of all levels, from learn to row programs to high school, masters, and collegiate teams. She's seen how many different teams operate and empower athletes to meet their rowing goals; we're excited for her assistance with growing opportunities for rowing here in Vermont.
Fuchs moved to Burlington in the fall of 2024 after living throughout the east coast. She started her sculling journey in Northern New Jersey as a high school athlete, and followed her rowing passion to the University of Rochester where she rowed varsity for 4 years. After college, she rowed with a number of U23 and masters programs across the US, including Pittsford Crew, Seattle Rowing Center, and Potomac Boat Club. She has experience in both sculling and sweep rowing, and is passionate about making the sport inclusive and shared with the community. She encourages good rowing techniques that reduce injury risk and safety.
Outside of rowing, she is a remote researcher in immunotherapy and love her pets, Peachie and Vespoli.
