In this unit you will learn how to distinguish between an acid, base and salt by their properties.  

By the end of this unit you will be able to:

- Define & describe acids, bases & salts

- State & apply the Arrhenius and Bronstead-Lowry theories

- Solve acid-base titration problems

- Solve for the pH of a substance and know whether it is an acid or a base

- Describe the properties of acid -  base indicators
