Reflections on the Characters from the Advent Story

Have you ever wondered about the characters in the Advent story? What was it like for Mary? Why did God choose Joseph or the Shepherds? Was there really no room at the Inn?

Some of the members of our church have been thinking about these questions and more and share their thoughts and reflection in 5 short videos over the Advent period, from Sunday the 28th of November to Christmas Day.

Why not join us and share in our reflections.

Reverse Advent Calendar

Instead of the usual gifts we may get in an advent calendar, let’s give instead. This could be weekly (eg each Sunday) or each day. Donations will go to Washington Community Food Project (WCFP)

They are always short of: Long Life Milk, Tins of Custard, Tinned Meat, Tinned Rice Pudding, Toiletries, Small packs of soap powder, deodorants, Tablets of soap.

These and any long life/tinned products would be very welcome.

WCFP list on their Facebook page the items they are most in need of each week.

Please leave items collected in the usual place in the foyer.

Online Advent Calendar

Starting the 1st December, we will have an advent calendar on our website. Each day a “door” can be opened to reveal part of the nativity story.
