Nick Corney and The Buzz Rats
Originally from Northamptonshire, Jess Orestano now lives in the beautiful countryside of Norfolk. This picturesque setting is the theme for many of her self-penned songs, as well as personal experiences, fictional stories and caricatures of things or people. Drawing inspiration from a range of artists and genres, such as Eva Cassidy, Laura Marling, Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Chvrches and the 1975, Jess has way of telling stories through song that will leave you wanting more. Jess also has a repertoire of over 50 covers, ranging from Van Morrison, Michael Jackson and Jon Denver to Jamie T, Muse, Kings of Leon and Justin Timberlake, in the hope of playing something that will please
everyone and also to explore her vocal abilities and guitar technique. With such versatility, Jess enjoys playing at gigs of all kinds for
people of all ages and backgrounds.
2Steps 4Words are an acoustic music collective from the edge of the Fens in the East of England (Warboys, Ramsey and Sawtry). The music (according to those in the know) comes under the Alternative Folk/Acoustic indie bracket- double bass, 12 and 6 string acoustic, vocal harmonies, light percussion and the odd other instrument thrown in and is delivered with a sense of humour. Currently consisting of three main
members Richard, Rob and Stephen. Additional and occasional members include Shaun on vocals, 6 string and harmonica with Edlynn providing female vocals on some recorded songs.
The band have just released their first album which will be available via the band web site around the end of September in both CD and digital download format. A fair amount of tea was consumed during the recording process and all the instruments are still intact. A donation from the sale of each album is being made to the East of England Apples and Orchard Project.
We think the music itself tells the rest of the story…….
