The 2024-25 programme will operate September to August.
If you are thinking of joining us, our normal arrangements are as follows.
Evening meetings are 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Meet over a cup of tea or coffee from 6.45pm.
Day Workshops are 10am to 4pm. There is priority booking for members.
A non-refundable deposit of £10 is required to secure a place.
The workshop fee does not include lunch, but tea and coffee will be provided.
Workshop requirements will be here on the website and e-mailed out to members.

Fiona Johnstone - Ruby Curvelets (Talk)
We’re excited to welcome Fiona for the first time at the Gathering. In her talk, she will be covering her background as well as the concept and design of her award winning Ruby Curvelets quilt. She will also share tips on how to utilise the quarter circle block! So join us and be inspired.

Lizzie Walls - (Talk)
Discover Lizzie's whimsical work inspired by the creatures she comes across on her dog walks and travels in the English and Welsh border countryside. Lizzie uses applique and quilting to achieve highly patterned and decorative illustrative work. Her work has focused on quilt art inspired by encounters with animals and creatures from stories and poems. By using an appliqué technique, many patterns and colours are combined to create colourful character interpretations .

Lizzie Walls - Spring Tree (Workshop)
This is a raw edge applique workshop with optional free machine quilting. The majority of the day is spent constructing the collage image. Lizzie will do a demonstration of her free motion stitching technique in the afternoon. This workshop may be completed by hand or machine. Check out her portfolio.

Kaleidoscope - (Talk)
Situated in Mains of Boquhan near Falkirk, Kaleidoscope is a quilting institution, and one of the Gathering favourite shops. Founded over 20 years ago. Kaleidoscope stocks a fabulous range of patchwork and quilting supplies and books, and continues to attend numerous quilt shows. Come and find out their quilting journey.

Susan Briscoe - (Talk)
Susan is a renowned designer and textile artist, specialising in sashiko, kogin, boro inspired textiles, and quilts inspired by Japanese design and traditions, She is the author of a number of books and teaches textile and sashiko workshops.
