We have our own Facebook page which is a members only site and only registered members can join by going onto the Facebook page "The Glasgow Gathering of Quilters" and applying or by being invited by a member who has already joined.

CHAIR'S CHALLENGE 2025

Our theme this year is 'Americana', commemorating 250th anniversary of signing of the American Declaration of Independence.

Make a 12"-ish square wall-hanging to be shown on our stand at the SEC's Scottish Quilting Show on 5-7 March 2026.

Whispers Challenge 2025

Members were invited to join the Whispers Challenge 2025 in autumn 2024. 

A mystery image was sent to the first member, who created a 18'' x 24'' landscape quilt, took a picture of the completed quilt to send it to the next name on the list (and Margo). The next member has a month to complete their quilt based on the picture of the quilt they have received from the previous member, and soon and forth until Autumn 2025.

SCOTTISH QUILTING COMPETITION 2026

@ The Creative Craft Show/The Scottish Quilting Show: Glasgow - Spring 2026

Thursday 5th March 2026 - Saturday 7th March 2026 - SEC, Glasgow

Competition entries are now open for the Scottish Quilting Competition 2026 with 8 exciting categories to choose from. The categories are:

A: Traditional Quilts
B: Contemporary Quilts
C: Modern Quilts
D: Art Quilts
E: Group Quilts
F: Themed Quilt – Pathways
G: Professional Maker
H: Under 16’s Quilter

Find out more about the competition rules. You don’t need to have completed your quilt to enter the competition: either a photograph or a drawing of your piece along with sizes is all that is required for your entry form. You may also enter more than one category!

Remember that you must return your completed entry forms by midnight on Friday 6 February 2026 at the latest!
