1) new feature implementation project
title: Website V2
client: Club Med [located in Singapore]
problem: client's 9 Asia-pacific sites need to be improved for better user experience and usability
platform: responsive website (optimized for desktop, mobile and tablet)
my role and contribution: project manager (21% of M/M); feature suggestion, QA, and communication among client, PMO, designer and developer
my approach
discover
context awareness: read proposal and sync-up with related project managers to understand project context
benchmark: researched client's competitor web services in the same and different industries to benchmark good practices
define
PM communication: created a live spreadsheet (i.e., Google Sheets) for real-time, transparent communication on 15 feature ideations
(1) to sync-up with client regarding priority, project progress, QA status
(2) to communicate with designer and developer to reach internal consensus
(3) to receive client's content
develop:
PM communication
via Google Sheets/Basecamp (a web-based project management tool) for project management
via daily scrum meetings
sync'ed up with developer regarding yesterday's development, plan for today, and questions
explained features if needed
QA: conducted QA on main browsers of desktop, mobile and tablet devices
deliver:
PM communication: updated feature delivery on prod server and received validation via Basecamp/Google Sheets
result:
sample: one feature out of fifteen
sample of actual web page
impact:
client was happy with my project management due to shared doc for transparent communication (c.f., no metrics was used to measure success of the new feature implementations)
users received more user-friendly features than original designs
2) UX proposal project (personalization)
title: Mobile Renewal
client: adidas Korea
problem: client needed a revamped e-commerce mobile site complying with requirements (e.g., optimized shopping and marketing platform, localized but following global design guideline and many more)
platform: mobile website
my role and contribution: UX manager and UI designer (UX: 80%; UI: 100%); main benchmark research, UI design, and direction on GUI design
impact: client responded positively regarding my personalization idea and competitive analysis
side note: didn't win but received many gifts (notable fact: first-time Asiance Korea receiving gifts after losing a pitch competition)
