Hola todos,
In this meeting, we collected canned goods for a Thanksgiving Food Drive. If you forgot or weren't able to bring the canned food, you have up until Tuesday, 11/18 to bring them. It will be appreciated if you can bring them in a box. Also, make sure you start tutoring and logging your hours, you need 10 hours by May! Next meeting, we'll be having a "party" where we'll be crafting bracelets for fundraising for Pupusas4Education.
See you then!
Hola todos,
In this meeting, we collected hygienic products, as well as explain changes in the tutoring process. If you weren't able to turn in your hygienic products, make sure you bring them Monday. We are no longer using the pairing system for tutoring, so make sure to see the presentation to the left for details on what to do for tutoring.
See you next meeting!

Hola todos,
Thank you to everyone who attended our last meeting of the year! During this meeting, we took the opportunity to talk about the 100 points that SHS members are required to earn each year. We also discussed how the Society might be changing in the coming year as a result of Sra. Cox's impending retirement and thanked Sra. Cox for her service as head of the Society!
For a more in-depth look at what was covered, please check out the google slides from the meeting. This presentation can tell you how to access the SHS website and gives the address for the dinner which will be hosted at Sra. Cox's house on May 28th at 6:00 pm. We will be sending out a SignUpGenius for the dinner soon; please fill it out so Sra. Cox knows how many people she has to feed!
One more thing: as a reminder to all of our previously existing members, your tutoring hours need to be turned in to Sra. Cox by the end of May!
We hope to see you next week!
Each of these positions will be filled by one of our existing members; current seniors and new members are not eligible to apply for an officer position. Hola todos,
Welcome to all of our new members! Our last meeting of the year will take place on Wednesday, May 22 at 2:30 PM in Mod 1-Room 11. During this meeting, we will have elections for the club's officer positions for the coming year. For a description of officer positions, please refer to the post above.
Additionally, as a heads-up for any of our previously existing members who have not yet turned in their tutoring hours: these must be given to Sra. Cox by the end of May. 10 tutoring hours are required. If needed, up to 5 of these can be obtained from volunteer hours from another honors society. Your form can be signed by any supervising adult.
Other important topics during the meeting will include the upcoming SHS dinner hosted annually at Sra. Cox's house, and a discussion of how the club will be changing in the coming year, as this will be Sra. Cox's last year of teaching and serving as the club administrator.
Thank you all for making this a great year! See you next week!
Hola todos,
Thank you to everyone who attended today's meeting! This meeting was a chance to discuss our impending Initiation ceremony, which will take place on Tuesday, April 23. The Initiation will start at 7:00; all members who are not helping with set-up should arrive by 6:45 to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Please see the available Google Slides for more information regarding this event.
Also, a reminder to our members: in order to maintain membership in the club, it will be necessary to earn 10 tutoring hours by the end of the school year. These can be obtained during lunch tutorials, or after or outside of school, provided that a teacher or a responsible adult can sign your form to verify the tutoring session.
Have a fantastic spring break!
Hola todos,
Please respond to this survey whenever you get a moment. We are looking to turn our club records in to the the front office as soon as possible, and we need to know your grade levels in order to do this.

Hola todos,
Due to the recent winter weather, our caroling event has been cancelled. We are thinking of organizing a replacement event in late February instead. This event would take place at the nursing home and celebrate a holiday such as Easter, Carnaval, or Three Kings' Day. Email us at greenhopespanish@gmail.com if you have any suggestions!
Hola todos,
