(As stated in the SHS Bylaws) The purpose of the Spanish Honor Society is to recognize high achievement by secondary school students in Spanish and Portuguese and to promote interest in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian studies. The Society is classified as a national and international academic honor society in the study of high school Spanish and Portuguese and is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese (AATSP).

• Prospective members, new members, current members and members of the community can learn more about the Society on our Sobre page.
• Members of Green Hope's Spanish Honor Society tutor fellow students, attend and volunteer at local cultural events, and share Hispanic culture through their participation in activities such as annual food drives and Spanish caroling.
