Okehampton Household Waste Recycling Centre will be undergoing significant maintenance works from 24/02/2020 until 22/03/2020.
During the works, the site will be closed to the public on 24/02/2020 to 01/03/2020 (inclusive) and 16/03/2020 to 22/03/2020 (inclusive). The site will be open as normal at other times. Due to the scale of the works it would not be safe/practical to open to the public on those 2 weeks.
The road past Higher Town Farm will be closed from the 26th to the 28th February 2020 for highway repairs.
The road from Southweek to Witherdon Cross will be closed for resurfacing on 16th Jan 2020.
Diversion through Eworthy, Blagrove and Southweek.

Ditches/Flooding (September 2019)
Poor maintenance of ditches along the roads often cause flooding and the Parish Council is looking into bidding for funding to help clear them before the winter. If anyone has any information on particular areas of concern can you please let us know - germansweekpc@gmail.com
WDBC Garden Waste Collection - New Arrangements - Germansweek Parish Council has received details of new arrangements for the collection of Garden Waste by WDBC.
As of 31st July 2017, this will become an 'opt-in' service which is charged for at £40 per year. For further details click here (added 13/06/17)

Now that the Parish Council now has a website, which it is required to have in order to properly publish minutes and documentation, it was agreed at the meeting on Wednesday 23rd June that the Facebook page would be shut down at the end of July.
