Field Observations, Lab Analyses, and Numerical Modeling
The areas where I conducted my field research, taught field courses, attended field camps as a student, did field-mapping internships, and assisted other geologists.
I investigate scientific questions from the perspectives of various geological subdisciplines with an array of research approaches, from field observations to lab analyses to numerical modeling.
The main fields I am interested in are:Â
Regional Geological Histories
Active Tectonics and Earthquakes
3D Structural Geology
Thermochronology and Thermokinematic Modeling
Geodynamics and Geomechanics
Tectonics, Climate and Surface Processes Interactions
My research projects in Asian and North American geology deal with a broad spectrum of topics, spanning from Subduction Zones to Continental Collision Zones, earthquake cycles to long-term geological histories, and deep crustal rheology to surface landscapes.
I also like developing side projects when I have time.
