A new Collagraph print...Today I sent off a 10 print edition to the international print exchange. 'Butter Rock ' is a sea stack by Bat's Head. Its all thats left of an arch which one day Bats head will become; it already has a tiny arch forming at its base. So if the Earth lasts long enough Bat's Head will one day be a sea stack too.
My first successful collagraph produced after seeing Vicky Oldfields work. I printed the chine colle vase pattern using rubber stamps and then hand coloured with crayons before overprinting with the collagraph plate. The flowers were hand coloured too
I love making small celtic animal aceos using up to 3 layers of cartridge paper which I score into and draw onto to produce the effects. One sealed with button polish these are intaglio printed which means I wiped the ink off the surface and used dampened paper to take the ink out of the lines and recesses when printed on my Sizzix Big Shot. Once dry they are coloured with Prismacolor crayons. I love the plates too as well as the prints
