Teaching the four skills in the Primary EFL classroom
Some kinds of writing:
- Copying (plan for the day, date, labels...)
- Practising spelling (jumbled letters, word or text edition, gap-filling...)
- Transcription (dictation, writing songs learned by heart...)
- Producing own texts -often sentences- with the help of models (samples of work, sentence patterns...) or scaffolding techniques such as substitution tables.
- Producing own texts from scratch (picture captions, short stories, descriptions...)
- Participating in written exchanges via email, blogs...
