I am excited to begin this new journey together as your pastor. I have a husband, Steve, two adult sons, Jesse and Dylan Burlingame, a step-daughter, McCoy Lucy, who will be starting college at MAC in the fall, three amazing granddaughters, Aleah Mae, Kesleigh, and Nora Lin...and three Aussies: Jasper, Izzy and Maya. We also have cattle on our farm in Caledonia...even some mini cows, donkeys and a mini horse! My husband and I sell fresh cut Christmas trees and greenery each year at Christmas time.
This year marked my 30th year as a registered nurse. I've worked in pediatrics (Shriner's Hospital), primary care, hospice and ER/Med Surg and spent the last half of my career in Administrative roles. I have always had a passion and desire to care for people and I still do. In March of 2022, I left the medical field to follow a call to ministry after God had been working on my heart for several years. I served as Lay Supply Pastor for Doe Run and Libertyville United Methodist Churches from July 2022 through June 2023. I completed Licensing School in May 2023 and am now a Licensed Local Pastor in the UMC. I will begin seminary in 2024. In this new appointment with First and Bismarck UMCs, I get to continue seeking to grow closer to God while following my passion of caring for people, now in a brand new way. God is awesome, steadfast and has blessed me in the most beautiful and surprising ways! I can't wait to see what comes next. I already see many blessings in these two churches.
