The world still has many good men with heart that beats for and feel pain of others. So these good people do charity time to time and the Hendy Group is one of those few good ones. The Blue Lamp Trust has recently received a Ford Transit Connect van from the group as a donation. Powered by frugal Ford Transit diesel engine, this handover marked the fourth donation in recent years by the group to the Hampshire charity.
It will be used to transport a specialist fitter/safety advisor to help people across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight who have been victims of domestic violence and burglary. 2,290 homes have been helped by the Blue Lamp Trust fitters to improve the safety in 2015.
Alan Lovell, chairman of The Blue Lamp Trust, humbly stated “Not only has The Bobby Scheme brought peace of mind and helped reduce the fear of crime from 10,000 people, but it also has a substantial effect in reducing repeat victimisation. We are hugely grateful to the Hendy Group for donating a fourth Ford Transit Connect. The new vehicle will extend our service and allow us to better access those in need within our communities.”
New Car Sales and Marketing Director at Hendy Group, Mark Busby, commented on this occasion that it really thrills them to be able to assist The Blue Lamp Trust in their irreplaceable efforts to help out the victims in the area. Ford Transit vans are undoubtedly made to meet the requirements and we are sure that they will provide reliable access to those who require immediate support after falling victims of domestic violence or burglaries.
