Biographie
Froilán Ramos R. is a historian, professor, and author, specialized in the contemporary history of Latin America. Holding a PhD in History, he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in International History and Theory and Methodology of Historiography. He has researched and taught at renowned universities in Venezuela and Chile, and currently serves as Associate Professor in the Department of History and Geography at the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción (UCSC) in Chile. As a FONDECYT Researcher and through research stays in U.S. archives, he advances international projects.
His research lines encompass contemporary history, History of the Americas, global transformations of the 20th century, Cold War, Latin American Studies, and Migration Studies, with a focus on transnational dynamics and their legacy in South America. He has published articles in indexed journals and books, and presented lectures at congresses in Venezuela, Chile, Mexico, Greece, France, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, USA, Colombia, Germany, Peru, Serbia, and Spain.
