Members who walk the 140 miles of the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path can now be rewarded with a special badge (pin) and a certificate in recognition of their achievement. It is hoped that this scheme will provide an added incentive for more walkers to follow the whole route and so enjoy the wide variety of scenery and terrain to be found on this uniquely beautiful Path. Certificates are awarded only to those who walk the Path; they are not offered to those who run it. We do not want to encourage anyone to run, as this could potentially be dangerous in places. We encourage everyone to pause more often, to look for longer at the ever changing scenery: not to try to set a "PB”.
Walkers may complete the walk at one time or on several visits, they do not need to start at the official start point at St. Cybi’s church Holyhead but may start at any point and progress in either direction. The route directions linked to the 12 map leaflets on the website describe the clockwise route. It is also recommended that walkers also refer to the OS Explorer Maps 262 and 263.
Paid up members can claim their badges free of charge. Non members who complete the path as a 'one off' are asked to pay £5 towards costs. Please pay by bank using 40-30-14 account no 71351001 and indicate on the form that you have done so.
We are aware that visitors from overseas may also like to complete the path. If this is you then please ensure that you pay your fee of £5 while you are in the UK as we are not in a position to process non-sterling payments.
To be given the badge and certificate, you should complete the form below when you have walked the Path. Dont forget your address!
