General access requirements for the TCS SP2 Confocal Microscope
Advance deposit on confocal IRB account.
Introductory training ($100 per user)
Sign up General User
The confocal system is available from 9 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday.
Users need to schedule confocal appointments with Dr. Markus Friedrich (see phone and email below).
Sign up Power Users
The confocal system is accessible at all times (user schedule permitting).
Power users may get a personal key for the facility for a $100 deposit.
Power users can schedule user times in the booking calendar in front of the Biological Imaging Facility (room 0376) leaving name, telephone number, and anticipated user time and day.
Charges
General User
Confocal and Computer $50.00 per hour
Computer only $40.00 per hour
Power User
Confocal and Computer $20.00 per hour
Computer only $20.00 per hour
Cancellations less than 24 hours prior to booked time will result in the charging of one hour of use.
