Grazie!

There is a lot that I will never forget about this experience in North Beach. Whether I remember Maria Grazia trying to make us eat our body weight in delicious Italian food, visiting the Porziuncola of Saint Francis de Assisi, or learning about the extremely radical and proud beatnik generation; I will never forget the amazing feeling of realizing how my Italian ancestors played a key role in the fate of San Francisco. Growing up in an Italian American family I had heard of North Beach and its Italian Heritage, though my great great grandparents originally settled in Sausalito. Being able to truly learn about the Italian society in San Francisco was very rewarding and a lot of fun!
