Laurence Havé (MD) - "Body perception and representation disorders: objectification and follow up after neurological affections"

This work explores how the body is perceived, represented, and integrated. Focusing on clinical practice, this research explores how patients with altered bodily perceptions due to neurological disorders describe their experiences and how effectively healthcare providers can assess these descriptions. The core issue examines the role of action, movement, and motor control in shaping body perception. The objectives of the thesis include investigating the cognitive mechanisms underlying disorders of body representation.

Arthur Seye - "Impact of visual illusions on perspective taking: increasing doubt to better cooperate "

Co-supervisors: François Osiurak, Yves Rossetti
This project explores the impact of visual illusion on perspective taking. The question is whether perceiving a visual illusion that can generate a visual perspective change subsequently influences perspective taking on cognitive aspects (e.g. beliefs) and would allow individuals to communicate and cooperate more efficiently.

Joy El Khoury - "Development of transdiagnostic sensory-motor interventions targeting social cognition: neuropsychological and real-life impacts."

Co-supervisor: Frédéric Haesebaert
The ability to transfer knowledge to everyday life is one of the most important success factors of cognitive remediation, and one of the most difficult to support. Following an embodied approach of social cognition, this project aims to develop sensory-motor interventions that foster social cognition using concrete and ecologic material.
