Positions
Since November 2023, I am an Assistant Professor of Economics (RdtB) at Cà Foscari University of Venice, and Affiliate Researcher at Paris School of Economics.
From October 2019 to August 2023, I had been Invited Professor at Paris School of Economics (Chair Banque de France).
From December 2014 to September 2019, I had been Senior Research Economist at Banque de France in the International Macroeconomics division (with tenure since December 2017).
Post-doc experience and Visiting Positions
Before joining Banque de France, I had been a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Lausanne from October 2011 to August 2014, and a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Economics of the University of California Berkeley from August 2012 to February 2013, and at the Ente Einaudi for Economics and Finance, Rome from September to November 2014.
Education
I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics from the Paris School of Economics in September 2011. My dissertation, ‘Aggregate implications of firm dynamics and credit market frictions’, was examined by Professors Philippe Bacchetta (University of Lausanne, referee), Florin Bilbiie (PSE), Pierre-Olivier Gourinchas (University of California Berkeley, referee), Jean-Olivier Hairault (PSE), and Philippe Martin (PSE, advisor).
In February 2023, I obtained the National Scientific qualification as Associate Professor in the Italian higher education system, for the Disciplinary Fields 13/A1 (Economics) and 13/A2 (Economic policy).
Current Service
I am currently the executive director of the PSE-CEPR Policy Forum. With Gaetano Gaballo (HEC Paris), we launched the Salento Macro Meetings in 2017, a conference which takes place in Lecce (Italy) every Summer since then. Finally, I am a research fellow at the EUTAX Observatory.
Past Service
Between 2020 and 2023, I organized the Macroeconomics Seminar and the Macro Workshop at the Paris School of Economics, and I had been a member of the Steering committee of the Chair Banque de France at Paris School of Economics between 2018 and 2023.
