FAQ:
What does the standard machine come with?
All the basic plates to get you started - 1 base plate, 1 dies plate, 2 cutting plates, 1 specialty plate - replacements can be purchased. Optional plates are sol separately for specialty die cutting and embossing.
Is there a magnetic plate?
Yes, SU will have an optional magnetic plate available - date to be determined. The SU magnetic plate has a fully magnetic surface.
Can I use my old plate with the new machine?
No, it is not recommended as the thickness is not the same. If they are too thick, they’ll make the sandwich too high, which could damage the machine. If they are too thin, you'll need to use shims or run dies through the machine several times to get good results.
Can I use dies and embossing folders from other manufacturers in the new Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine?
Yes, however, due to differences in product thickness, you might need to use a shim to adjust the sandwich height. However, if the sandwich is too high, don’t force it through the machine—this could damage the machine and void the warranty.
What is the warranty on the machines?
3 year limited warranty. To prevent damage to the machines, use as directed and use only with compatible Stampin’ Up! products.
